The University of Pisa

The University of Pisa is one of the oldest universities in the world and it has been extraordinarily successful in updating its structures and human resources to meet the new challenges of international research and education at the highest level. Nowadays it is organised in 20 departments. It has about 54.000 students, 1517 faculty members, and 1477 technical and administrative staff members. It offers 127 bachelor and master programmes, and 20 PhD programmes, along with 56 third cycle specialisation programmes, and about 55 post graduate programmes, including an MBA.

Francesco Morelli

Assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering, has more than 10 years of experience in participating to RFCS project focused mainly on the development of new steel and hybrid steel and reinforced concrete structural system, with an high specialization in earthquake engineering aspects.

Silvia Caprili

Associate professor in the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering has participated and coordinated several RFCS projects on the development of both new steel and concrete structural systems and elements. She is an expert on the cyclic behavior of corroded steel, has published several works on this topic and coordinated a RFCS project.

Agnese Natali

Post-doc at the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering with a strong experience on the design and the seismic assessment of steel structures.
